The Spirit of the Lord is upon me.
He has anointed me to bring good news to the poor,
to proclaim liberty to captives and new sight to the blind;
to free the oppressed and announce the Lord's year of Mercy."
Luke 4:18-19

As Claretian Missionaries, Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary--priests, brothers and seminarians--we strive to imitate Christ in all ways and follow him by living in community and serving the Gospel. Like our Founder, Saint Anthony Mary Claret, we want to live passionately our commitment to God's Reign of Life, Love, Justice, and Peace for our world today. As was true for our Founder, our Claretian Missionary Martyrs, and the many other courageous missionaries before us, the love of Christ moves us to respond to the needs of the poor with the most urgent, timely and effective means possible.
As servants of life, we are especially called to be an evangelizing presence in our parishes, as well as other diverse and challenging ministries. We attempt to make our partnership with the laity and other religious and Church leaders a liberating sign of Good News for the economically poorest in society, especially recent immigrants, while also forming evangelizing leaders to share in the building of God's Reign.

OFFICIAL PRAYER OF THE BICENTENARY
OF THE BIRTH OF SAINT ANTHONY MARY CLARET
Our Father,
you anointed St. Anthony Mary Claret
with your Spirit
and made him an ardent listener
and faithful servant of your Word.
In this second centenary of his birth
we give you thanks for the gift of his life
and the fruitfulness of his mission.
Raise in the Church many evangelizers
who, driven by the love of Christ,
spread its flames wherever they pass
and succeed by all means possible to set the whole world ablaze
with the fire of your love.
Grant to us, O Lord, with the help of St. Anthony Mary Claret
and the intercession of the Heart of Mary, our Mother,
to grow in faith, hope and total dedication to you and to all our
brothers and sisters so that one day we can enjoy together
the holy dwelling place of your Kingdom.
Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
