Mr. Reynante Alcantara, C.M.F., professed his renewal of vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience, on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11:00a.m at Dominguez Seminary. It was a wonderful remembrance of the Martyrs of Barbastro and renewal of vows.

HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

In light of the recent events in Haiti, I would like us all to join together to support our Claretian brothers, families and friends who are suffering in the aftermath of the devastation the earthquake caused. Our Province will be sending financial assistance to our brothers in Haiti in response to the current situation. If you or anyone you may know, would like to make a donation to the Haiti earthquake relief fund, please send your donations to the Claretian Provincial Office at 10203 Lower Azusa Road, Temple City, CA 91780 ; we will take care of sending all the funds to the relief effort in Haiti. Please keep our Claretian brothers in Haiti, their family, friends, and the Haitian people in your prayers during these difficult times. XXIV GENERAL CHAPTER

On August 27,2009, the XXIV General Chapter of the Claretian Missionaries completed the election process of the new General Government which will serve the Congregation for the next six years. On August 24, 2009, the new Superior General, Father Josep M. Abella, C.M.F., was re-elected, and now, the General Government is complete with the newly elected consultors. Ordination to the Diaconate

It is with great joy I announce the Diaconte ordination of Mr. Heherson "Niño" Balabbo, C.M.F. On July 16, 2010, Niño will be ordained into the Transitional Diaconate at St. Anthony Mary Claret Church in Fresno, California at 4:00pm by Bishop John T. Steinbock, D.D.

Please keep Niño in your prayers as he prepares to enter a new phase in his spiritual journey, and that God will help him in his ministry of proclamation of the Word and service.

On April 18, 2010, Heherson "Niño" Balabbo, C.M.F. professed his perpetual vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience. The special celebration took place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Chicago, Illinois. Please continue to keep Niño in your prayers as he enters a new phase in his journey.

Thanksgiving Day, November the 26th 2009, I arrived in Juba, Sudan to begin another adventure in my life. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that I would be asked to work on a hobby that I have always had a passion for for. I was contacted from Rome by my congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to consider working in construction for Solidarity with Southern Sudan in Wau, Sudan. When I was first approached for the position of project manager in June of 2009, I jumped to the opportunity, but i did not even kno where Sudan was....(click here to continue)

It is with great joy we announce the renewal of vows of Reynante Alcantara, C.M.F. and First Profession of vows of Francisco Hernandez, C.M.F., on August 13, 2009 on the Feast of the Blessed Claretian Missionary Martyrs of Barbastro. The special mass was held at San Gabriel Mission, in San Gabriel, California. We ask for your continual prayers for our students in formation as they enter a new stage in life with our community.

St. Anthony Mary Claret 2008 Novena


With a spirit of joy and hope, we invite you to participate in a Solemn Novena of Prayer to Saint Anthony Mary Claret from Thursday, October 16, to Friday, October 24, 2008. On July 16, 2008, the 159th Anniversary of the Foundation of our Congregation, our Seminarian, Heherson "Niño" Balabbo, C.M.F. renewed his vows of chastity, poverty and obedience as a Claretian Missionary. The special celebration took place at San Gabriel Mission in San Gabriel, CA where Niño will be serving his pastoral year.

 

 

We also have the pleasure to announce our newly professed student, Reynante "Rey" Alcantara, who professed his first vows of chastity, poverty and obedience as a Claretain Missionary in San Cristobal, Guatemala, on Sunday, August 3, 2008. May the Holy Spirit inspire Niño and Rey in the "Fire of Christ's love" as it did our founder St. Anthony Claret.

 

RECEPTION OF NOVICES

With great joy the Claretian Missionaries of the Western Province received into the Novitiate, Francisco Hernandez from the Western Province, Douglas Berrios and Manuel Delgado from the Eastern Province. The reception took place August 14, 2008 in the Chapel of Dominguez Seminary in Rancho Dominguez, CA. We congratulate Francisco, Douglas and Manuel as a new journey begins. May the Heart of Mary always protect and guide our novices in their faithful and loving response to God's call.

 

Our Theology student, Heherson "Niño" Balabbo, C.M.F., renewed his vows of chastity, poverty and obedience as a Claretian Missionary on Monday, July 16, 2007, the 158th Anniversary of the Foundation of our Congregation. The special Eucharist took place in the Church of Saint Anthony Mary Claret in Mexico City where Niño is currently studying Spanish. We congratulate Niño and thank the Mexican Province for their hospitality and support for our brother's vocation and life as a Claretian Missionary. May the Heart of Mary always protect and guide Niño in his faithful and loving response to God's call.


ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD OF
DEACON QUYEN NGUYEN, C.M.F. 

Our Claretian Missionary Quyen Nguyen, C.M.F., will be ordained to the Priesthood on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at San Gabriel Mission, in San Gabriel , California . The very special Eucharist will take place at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Placido Rodriguez, C.M.F., of Lubbock , Texas , will be the ordaining Bishop. Please remember our brother, Deacon Quyen Nguyen, C.M.F., in your thoughts and prayers.

CLARETIAN YOUTH ENCOUNTER ~ ENCUENTRO JUVENIL CLARETIANO 2007
